Synopsis: An archive-based documentary narrating the experiences of Thessalonikians during the biggest and most destructive fire in the history of their city. It reveals the philosophy and the backdrop of the unprecedented urban change that followed, changing the city forever.

He is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art with a scholarship from the Alexandros S. Onassis Foundation. His thesis short film, a black comedy titled “Talking Piranhas”, as well as his next, “The Noir Project”, which combined live action with animation, were selected in dozens of international film festivals in Greece and abroad. Since his graduation with a Master of Arts in Film Directing from Screen Academy Scotland, he has also written/directed four creative documentaries for the Greek Public Broadcaster ERT and three hour-long TV portraits for the Hellenic Parliament Channel. “The Great Fire of Salonika: Birth of a City” is his first feature length documentary.
