Synopsis: A tragic incident on Greece’s northern border strikes a local family of three, pushing them to face their own personal impasses, while having to deeply consider the price for their actions.

 

Asimina Proedrou

Asimina was born in 1982, in Athens, Greece. She is the director of the multi-awarded short film Red Hulk (2013) which won the Best Short Film Awards at the Drama International Short Film Festival (2013) and the Athens International Film Festival (2013) and it had its international premiere at the Clermont Ferrand IFF (2014). Behind the Haystacks, her feature debut, won six awards at the 63^rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival and ten Hellenic Academy Awards out of 17 nominations in 2023.
