Eleni Andreou has a long and warm relationship with the “Omogeneia” in New York through her captivating voice. Her musical journey began at an early age when she first appeared in Lazos’ Boite in Astoria, although she was only a high school student at the time.
Her love for Greek music and singing brought her back to Greece, under the shadow of the Acropolis, in Plaka at the legendary Boite “Esperides”. Her talent and singing abilities caught the attention of various Greek composers and for two years she traveled throughout Greece with the composer Thomas Bakalakos performing his work with Haris Alexiou, Vasilis Papakonstantinou and Aphrodite Manou.
In the mid-80s, Eleni returned to New York to complete her studies. She never stopped singing. While in college she appeared in Boite Acroama with Vangelis Fampas and Julie Ziavras and later at Microcosmos Boite with Gregoris Maninakis.
Eleni took a break from performing while pursuing a career in Clinincal Nutrition and in 2013 she once again entered the Greek music scene in New York. During this time, Eleni participated in various concerts and music events.
In November 2018 Eleni published her first album “Ekdromi” which was recorded in Athens and included lyrics and music by various well known artists (Polys Kyriacou, Andreas Katsigiannis, Nikos Zervas, Vasilis Giannopoulos and others).
