Fourth wall (Tetartos toihos)

Synopsis: Based on the notes of a ten-month trek, this documentary enters the side of the society that remains invisible but similar throughout the globe. The only significant difference is people’s characteristics. A world that is reproducing itself in order to produce, surviving rather instinctively.
Dimitris Gotsis
Born in Athens in 1987, he graduated in 2009 from the University of Derby, Department of Arts and Technology on Film Studies and Broadcast Media, and has been working on commercials and television shows since. In 2012 he directed his student film, “Hidden Life”. “Spectrum”, his second short, participated in many international festivals and won special mention at the Berlin Interfilm International Short Film Festival. In April 2019, he won the Best Short Documentary Award of the Greek Film Academy for the film “The Fourth Wall” and the Audience Award at ShortShorts Film Festival & Asia in Tokyo. It was also a part in the Les Nuits En Or 2019 of the Academie des César. He is now developing his first feature, “Vigil”, and finalizing his new short, an animated documentary based on the story of a woman suffering from Transient Global Amnesia, a form of memory loss brought on by stress.
